It is difficult if not impossible to do this with the last few versions of ITunes. If it installs apps you don't want, you can remove them quite easily from the phone. Yes I know this isn't a great solution but I don't have any better suggestion unless you have someone sighted that can help you.

Hi Jen, I would sync your iPhone with one computer, either your desktop or laptop, but syncing with two different libraries may give you trouble. Maybe I’m wrong on this and you may want to call Apple support, but I always thought that if you sync from a different computer/library
