Hi
Try going to Settings, Display & Brightness, swipe down to Raise to Wake, & tap
to turn Raise to Wake off.

So as the subject line says, my iPhone SE has recently been giving me weird
issues with either the power off screen popping up and or the phone not
wanting to go to sleep when I press the power button.
I started noticing it maybe four or five weeks ago, but it’s been way more
frequent
