Yeah I have tried but with total sight loss
The term pushing sh*t up hill with a tooth pick comes to mind.
If you have some sight then you might find it better to use but I know I got
rid of the pencil quickly after figuring out it didn’t work for me.
It’s to me a nice idea but without being

How does this differ from a normal stylus? I see people using stylus on phone
even apple phones to do stuff, so wonder what makes the apple pensile better,
some sort of electronic built in it? Seems

Hi Paul,
Not sure where you found it for $50. Everything I have seen from the
original articles when it was introduced to Amazon.com list it for $99 US,
here in Canada it is $129.95.

Hi Fanus,
The Apple Pencil is a fancy name for the styless you can buy to use in together
with an iPad pro. If you have an iPad Pro you can do various things with this
thing although I am not sure if it is of much use for a blind person. I don’t
think it adds any functionality to the iPhone at
Pencil can be used for VoiceOver handwriting and swipes/taps, but doesn't
have a click function like mouse.

No, it has no button. Theoretically, you could track the pencil around the
screen and then double tap with the pencil itself, but that seems redundant and
not very practical.

Hi. The Apple pencil is 99% useless with voiceover. The only thing it allows
you to do is draw letters on the screen for handwriting. As far as the sketches
go, no, they cannot be interacted with while voiceover is enabled. In fact, you
can't even draw on the screen without voiceover being
Can you explain what sort of interaction you hope Voiceover will give? Do you
mean a sighted person would draw something which a blind person can then
explore?
I just can’t see how drawing something in an app would be of any use to a blind
person, but maybe my imagination doesn’t reach that
