Try shift+enter. I haven’t tried this personally, but that should work. Try it
with all of the modifier keys one at a time if shift doesn’t work.

It is option plus return on a keyboard. I don't about Braille displays.

line, my message gets sent.
However, in my emails, I do get a desired new line.
