First I'd make sure you remove your Apple Id from things like iMessage,
Facetime etc. You especially don't want somebody to suddenly get your
iMessages. I then suggest you do a complete restore of your phone as a new
device, not from backup. This should put everything back to factory
Sorry, I forgot, you do also want to actually remove your device from iTunes
as an authorized device, I believe you can also do this from the
AppleID.apple.com site.
