differing standard point speeds. I became aware of this in iOS 7 when I
installed multiple english voices and experimented with them. Fortunately, in
iOS 8 at least, one can easily adjust the speech rate.

And if I didn’t know how to do that, how would I know that the same speech rate
setting gave different results in the different languages? This is something
that changed with iOS8.

Hi all, I also see this when I switch from Samantha to Alex, I think when
you switch to another voice, the rate is set at 50, wich is about twice
as fast as most people want it!

It may be the fact that the second language that you are using is more
sensative. I have played with different languages and have found that the
Spanish language as a second languageis more sensitive compared to the other
Irish and Australian voices to where I have to set the Spanish s
