Hi Sieghard,
Unfortunately, they don’t do what you are asking about. They switch seamlessly
when nothing is playing, but when you get notifications, your book would not
pause for notifications. You would have to stop
ustments on the Airpods?

My AirPods Pro, that I got one year ago, work great, no concerns about
VoiceOver and cost around $250.

Hey Mich:
I have the air pods pro. I got them a little over a year ago. I think I paid
around $269 at Costco. They are easy to pair.

They are extremely easy to pare with your phone. In fact, they should
automatically pare once they see your phone.
The new 3rd generation is $230 Canadian, and the previous version, 2nd
generation is $166 Canadian.
Hope this helps.

Pairing is supposed to be easy, you just open the case and it will pop up on
your phone; then again most Bluetooth headsets or earpieces are easy to pair.
As for cost, remember to add that you are in Canada since it doesn't do you
much good if people tell you they are $179 which is what they cost
