I had this happen to me a few weeks ago, I upgraded from a 4s to a 5s and the
first week it acted as my 4s did when a text would come in, it would say the
time and the number of allerts. Then for no real reason it started reading my
entire text message out! Like you all I was not
To my knowledge, you cannot control how voiceover speaks notifications when the
phone is unlocked. However, there is a setting to adjust what happens when a
notification comes in on the lock screen. Go into voiceover settings, and then
find the item calledspeak notifications on lock screen.
Fiddle around in notifications for that. Can't be specific, there's quite
a lot in there.
