In addition to Kim’s “correct” answer, thought I’d suggest that you try hooking
up your card to ApplePay, which would give you both the use of ApplePay and
then via it, use of Uber. I’ve used ApplePay on a few ocasions, and it’s very
nice, and the merchants don’t get to see your credit card

I had this same question recently and that was how I resolved it. Now
instead of apple pay my default payment shows my mastercard.
