I am presuming that this concerns reading e-mail on the iPhone.
As far as opening an attachment, locate the attached file name and double-tap
on that. If you have an appropriate app on your iPhone, the attachment should
open within that app.
So far as saving an attachment, I never gave it
Thanks Richard, I had overlooked that locations was a button. This is great
news to find out!

If you check the very top left corner, or keep flicking left passed where it

It is true, the native mail app now has attachments built into the app, but it
only lets you attach files from your icloud drive account. I have been trying
to find out how to get a file from my dropbox app to icloud drive, but have not
found one yet. The attachment option is on the rotor
Hi David,
The easy way is to go to the file in Dropbox, find the Share option and select
to share by email. This does, however, only send a link to the file to the
other person.
Somehow I remember it is supposed to be possible now to attach files from
inside the mail app, but I haven't done it
Basically, you have to work from the file itself. In many apps, there's a share
button, and one of the choieso is email. This is how the file gets attached.
There's no way to do this from within the mail app.

You're probably just in another app viewing the document, so to go back
to your email, just double tap the home button and select the Mail app
by double tapping it from the task list.

I am using an iPhone for S with voice over.
Also, the back button in email attachments cannot be flicked to. Find the top
left corner of your screen, and move down just past the status bar. You should
find the button that way, but flicking or using the top of screen gesture
will not get you there.

Have a great day,

I think the very first link at the top left of the screen is a back to
message button. Try it!

What type of attachments are they? It can make a difference if they are text
attachments, or images, or PDF files.
Let us know so we can be of further help.
