Does the FitBit1 communicate through the iPhone? Would I need a third party
app? I am interested in something that will count steps and will give me

Unfortunately, the Apple watch counts steps by arm movements. If you walk on a
treadmill holding the rail or walk with a guide dog
watch but not for counting steps.
