I've heard that some people leave 1 finger on the screen, and a second
finger rotates around the first. Hope this makes sense. Keep working
at it, you'll get it down.

I think if you hear the noise, you are doing it right. You will have
different selections depending on where you are and in which app. That has
been my experience anyway.

To use the rotor, I place two fingers on the screen. When I want to change the
setting, yes you have to rotate like a dial. However, when I rotate my finger,
I rotate in a wide arc.
That seems to work.
