It was a volume issue. If it's on 1% VoiceOver becomes unresponsive. They've also reintroduced some bugs like the Karen TTS saying one meter ago instead of one minute ago. A very bad issue has to do with messages. When you get a message, and flick down to delete VoiceOver says ( Null.

You can't always rely on Siri. In ios 11 GM, if I ask Siri to turn invert colours on or off, she claims to have done this but in fact she hasn't and I have to go into settings to do it myself manually. I've reported this to Apple but there are other glitches in ios 11 which will bother folk.
