Well I got the typical auto response saying due to high volumes of emails that they are not able to respond so I think what I will do is take Peter‘s suggestion and uninstall and then reinstall and see what happens. Nonetheless I did send an email to the Paramount+ team courtesy of Ken's

Chela, if you go into the app and click on more or double tap on more it’ll bring up the account page go into that and at the bottom you’ll see support if you tap on that there is a button that will allow you to send a message to Paramount plus and you can describe your problem. Sent from my
