I assume people are talking about 6.0.2, which was just released for the
iPhone 5 and other newer devices. Therefore, if you have an iPhone 4S,
you'll still see 6.0.1 as the latest firmware.

As for the first part of your question; I don't use Siri with the screen
locked. It wouldn't respond at all anyway.
BTW: I modified the subject line to reflect the actual iOS version number.
Sure, you can use siri from a locked screen. You hold down your home button and
ask siri your question. When the response is finished and you press home, you
are in the place where you can slide or double tap to unlock the screen. I'm
assuming this is what was meant.

I only have 6.01 as current version on the iPod touch fifth generation. My
iPhone five shows 6.02
