Another way to set the speech is perhaps by having a different voice for reading. e.g. Have Daniel, the british voice to read books, set the speech to 70% or whatever you fancy, and have Samantha as your default voice, set it to 100% or something. You must use Voiceover's speed control for this. Fortunately, you can go to Voiceover's settings then Rotor, and add speech rate to the rotor. You can then change it on the fly, which is not as good as having it done automatically but is better than nothing. On Nov 17, 2013, at 10:05 PM, Ann Byr
