I just checked the settings and "pedestrian with voice annoucements" is
selected. The difference that I observed through VO speaking was after the
address was entered and the first "start route" was double tapped on to select
the type of route to be used. When in pedestrian mode in
Go into settings, then route, and flick right to pedestrian, and if it says
pedestrian pedestrian mode, then double tap pedestrian and flick right to
where it says pedestrian mode with street announcements and double tap.
See if that was the trouble.
