I can't help with the renaming problem as I am still having that same issue
myself. But when you say you are unable to edit a playlist do you mean you’re
unable to delete songs? I can help you with that if that’s what you mean.
In order to remove songs from an existing playlist, first
Kimberly and others, I am an Apple Music subscriber and have encountered the
same things you’ve described in your message. I can neither edit an existing
playlist or assign a title to a new one. Can anyone help with this?

I think this problem has been around for a couple of iOS releases now.
Using voiceover on my iPhone, I am unable to edit/change the title of
playlists. It doesn't matter if it is a playlist I created myself or a
new playlist I am attempting to create. I double tap the field
containing
