I recently down loaded the free version of the White Noise app from
Kitefaster that was discussed about a year ago on this list. It now shows
up on the home page as White Noise, which is an improvement, I believe.
I think this will be a valuable addition once I get it going

One more accidental discovery with this, which should pertain to any app which
provides audio: I found that I can close this white noise app, and later if I
want it back playing the same white noise (and I haven’t played other audio in
between), all I have to do is to use the double finger

The App that Chip mentioned has a one hour timer with the free version. If you
upgrade to the paid version, you can set it up to 12 hours. Here is the link:

Or the White Noise app by T M Soft? They have lots of sounds already in the app
and a place to download more for free. Lots of natural-sounding sounds.
