I have googles installed on my iphone 6 plus and it takes voice commands just
fine. But isn't there a way to get it's responses to be spoken automatically
instead of just appearing on screen and having vo read them?

I've found that whether the Google app speaks its answer or just presents it in
a text list seems to be a function of the type of question asked. To test this,
why don't you try asking Google a pop culture question such as "How old is
Taylor Swift? "and see what happens?
