When restoring from an iCloud backup you don't need a computer to do this. All
you have to do is to be connected to a wifi network.

Connect your iPad to your computer and choose to restore it. After it reloads
the latest firmware, you'll be presented with choices to set the iPad up as
new, restore from iCloud, or restore from a backup. Choose to restore from a

any difference). I ran the set up from iTunes, but apparently I did not do it
