Charles,
The one thing I omitted from my previous iPhone 6 setup post was that my new
Verizon phone came with iOS 8.1.2 on it and I also upgraded it to iOS 8.1.3
from within iTunes.

No, just type in your user name and password and Bard is up, there is one
problem, anything you downloaded on order phone will need to be downloaded
again, that was a slight headache putting them all back in the wish list, and I
know I forgot a few that I had
An encrypted backup via iTunes is definitely the way to go since it
will restore all your passwords and the versions of your apps
currently on your phone. I set up my new phone by this method and
everything looks exactly as it did on my 4s.

Hi,
You can use iCloud backup regardless of the OS your computer is using
as the phone takes care of it all. If you were using it, setup of the
new phone would be as simple as connecting it to your wireless
network, signing in with your Apple ID, choosing restore from backup
then relaxing as all

Monday. I currently use an iPhone 5, also from Verizon. When I receive the
new phone, what should I do, in sequence, to make a smooth and complete
transfer of all data from the 5 to the 6? Anything I need to do
Hi Charles, my suggestion is to make an encrypted iTunes backup. That way all

everything will be as exactly as it was on the five.
