Thanks Sieghard for the validation! No it did not stop my life, but
ffrustrating. As for my iPad, which I said I had a problem with last night, not
trying the obvious things was my problem. Too embarrassed to admit, but iPad is
running well and so is phone minus wifi, of course. Going to
hi Reggie,
I believe you said you didn't really sync music with your phone in which
case I think a 32 Gb model will be just fine for you. If you can upgrade a
month from now I'd go to the store and explain the problem and see if your
carrier might not let you upgrade a few weeks earlier.
Hi Anthony,
Sorry if I disagree, but cleaning your house or taking care of non-existing
children does not solve WiFi issues. I think you really can't generalize
this the way you do.
Reggie has a real and I mean real issue with her iPhone not connecting to
her WiFi and if your iPhone did that I
Beautifully stated, Sieghard.
Sounds like you did some serious tech support. Regina was very fortunate to
have you walk her through that extremely stressful process.
Hopefully she will be up and running soon.
It's good to know that there are people, like you, who are willing to really

Sieghard,
Good job. I fully agree that it has to be a hardware problem and needs to
be addressed by Apple if it is still under the Apple Care.
I'm proud to be a member of this list alongside people who really care.

Anthony I just wanted to say that post was totally uncalled for. Put

I just never heard of so many people having so many problems.
I can't help but wonder how so many people are responsible for causing there
own problems.
If something is working, don't fix it.
Put the phone down and, do other things,
I mean I know our phones do a lot of tasks but, go clean your
All other devices have wifi except iPhone all of a sudden. I don't even see the
normal networks on my screen and the wifi on/off
is dimmed when I try to turn it on. Any thoughts why this is happening?

Hi Reggie,
Sometimes, I go into the settings menu and turn on Airplane and then turn it
back off. It kills all the radio signals, which in a way allows a simple
default of the settings. Have you tried this? Is your account still listed in
the mail, calendar… menu in settings? In the past, I
Did you do a reset of your phone?
Hold down the power button and the home button for 10 seconds and then let
go. Voice Over will come up talking.

Regina,
You might try resetting your modem and router. I have had incidences in
which some of the many wifi devices around here get kicked off of wifi and
they won't go back on it. During that same time, other devices work fine on
wifi. When this happens, I turn off the router and modem, for a
Regina, have you tried unplugging your network box and then plugging it back
in? This happens to me quite frequently and when I unplug the router and
plug it back in that usually eliminates the problem.

When you turn wifi on, does the phone give you a list of networks to
choose from?
