I am using an iPhone five and I have tried muting voiceover in an effort to
silence sounds.
I'm trying to disable voiceover like I've done with previous iPhones, it has
proven unsuccessful.

In my experience, this doesn't work when on a call using my iPhone 5 with the
latest version of IOS.

Go to settings, general, accessibility, triple-click home, and make sure
Voice-Over is the only option selected. If VO is the only option selected,
triple-click home will work as it always has.

Hello, I have the phone on do not destarb and I hit the switch to make the apps
quiet. But when I am on the phone, they still come through! Is there a way to
make them be silent or do i just need to turn off VO while I am talking on the
