The files in DropBox are stored in the cloud and are now stored locally on
your phone. You need to download them before you can access them or adding
them to your favorites will also download them and keep them local.

put it in your Dropbox folder. That file will then appear in the same folder on
your iPhone. Basically, the way Dropbox works is that when you put a file in
that folder, it's uploaded to Dropbox's server
