Hi,
So far yes I haven’t hit upon a US carrier it hasn’t been able to track. I hope
that helps.

Hi,

I have a question for you.

Does this app will work for any UPS, USPS, EdEX, and any package delivery
companies can use that app to track down the package more easier?

Thank you,

Hi List,

I'm a fan of package tracking apps and have used ShipRack for quite some time
but have been disappointed that its notifications really haven't worked for
quite some time. I discovered the ParcelTrack app mentioned on an AppleVis
communication and think this will be my package tracking app going forward. I
think its premium version costing only $2.99 USD is a very good deal compared
to the Parcel app's ongoing subscription charge. I like that ParcelTrack
premium has a feature to add new packages to track by forwarding a shipment
notification email to your ParcelTrack Inbox and that it's available across
multiple devices and computers. I know these are pretty standard featurs in
tracking apps and the proof will be in performance but I like the price and
feature set of ParcelTrack and it is fully accessible based on what I've seen
so far on my iPhone 7 running iOS 10.3.2. Here's a web link to ParcelTrack for
any who want to read more about it:

RE: Reading epub eBooks on overdrive on IPhone

2017-05-19 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Husna,

While I enjoy audio books, every day on my iPhone via the Over Drive app,
currently, it is not possible to read eBooks via Over Drive when VoiceOver is
enabled.

Be that as it may, I strongly recommend the iOS Over Drive app to anyone who
enjoys Audible audiobook content, as they use the exact same files, though the
cover art may differ.

For example, I have downloaded over 30 audiobooks via Over Drive since the
start of the year, absolutely free. Of course, these titles are made available
via the public library system and, as such, one can listen to them for the
allotted checkout time. In my case, that is 21 days. Still, it beats paying
20+ dollars or more for an audio book that I will most likely only listen to,
once. And of course, I can check out the books anytime they are available or
be placed on an automatic waist list.

Should you decide to use Over Drive for audio books, be sure to join as many of
your local libraries as possible so that you will have the widest selection of
titles. For example, sometimes, I will search for a title that is not
available in one library but is available at another.

Good luck and enjoy,

Mark

Re: ParcelTrack App Recommendation

2017-05-19 Thread Robin Frost
Hi,
I am liking it quite a lot as well. My only request which I’ll soon submit to
its developers which would put it more on par with the notifications of similar
apps would be rather than just saying package is in transit, I wish it would
say package is in transit and has departed such and such a place. While it does
show this in the more detailed view of a package within the app other apps give
it to you right within the push notification. Other wise its notifications are
quite well timed with those of Parcel no matter the carrier in my experience
thus far.

You said you didn't have the version where you have to pay $9.99 a month. That
is a premium subscription, not the paid version of the app, for which you pay
just one time. So are you sure you don't have the paid version of the app which
takes away the ads that are on screen?

You can use keyboard shortcuts to quickly accomplish many tasks in iTunes. To

the table below as a reference.

Many items in the iTunes window (for example, songs and column headings) also
have shortcut menus that let you do tasks quickly. To see a shortcut menu,
right-click the item.

To turn on full keyboard navigation, choose Edit > Preferences, click General,
and select “Enable full keyboard navigation.”

Some screen readers override keyboard combinations built into iTunes; check the
screen reader documentation for instructions on customizing key combinations.

Looking for a particular calendar app

2017-05-19 Thread Shermeen Khan
Hi all,
I hope someone can let me know if a Calendar app like this exists. I am hoping
to be able to view upcoming events in their own window, as opposed to filtering
down by month, and then week, then day. So for example, I wanted to see, say,
the next five or six events that I have coming up, without having to go to the
month or week I think they are in. Does that make sense? Does anybody know if
an app exists that has this feature? I am not terribly impressed with the
native calendar app.
Thank you so much in advance if you can help,
Shermeen

Using a keyboard with the iPhone

2017-05-19 Thread Husna Begum
Hi,

When I am using Overdrive to listen to books, some times I have to rewind a few
times during the course of the book, each time the home button needs to be
pressed, I am worried this will eventually damage the home button. If I attach
a keyboard to the phone can I rewind books etc using a button on the keyboard
instead of needing to press the home button?

Let me know.
Thanks,
Husna

Apple TV fourth generation announcement of songs with VoiceOver and Apple music

2017-05-19 Thread Shai
Hello,
After changing the audio destination of music being played in the
music app on my iPhone to the Apple tv using VoiceOver, I notice that
the Apple tv will announce each song and artist being played. Other
than disabling VoiceOver, is there a means by which to toggle this
announcement on or off? If I do want the information, I would think
that I could check my iPhone or attempt to find the music name on
screen.
Thank you in advance for any responses

Speaking about apps, does anyone know if there is an app for zipping/unzipping
files and any app for converting files, for example from avi to mp3?
Thank you all for your great help.

Hello Vickie,

iMessage effects are little animations that can be added to an iMessage to
another iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This does stuff like adding fireworks,
confetti, etc. You would perform it on an iPhone 6s or newer with the 3D
touch feature on the send button in Messages. On the iPad I believe that you
would have to double tap and hold on the iPad, assuming you are using
VoiceOver. If not you will just simply tap and hold on the send button.

I hope this helps,

Ed

Keep in mind that when reduced motion is off you can't use iMessage
effects. Also, it make no difference with respect to how sensitive the
screen is etc. If you are maybe referring to the phone unlocking when you
move it then you need to turn off raise to wake in Settings > Display and
Brightness.

Re: Looking for an app, please.

2017-05-19 Thread Alan Lemly
Hi Maria,

I believe File browser should be able to download any file provided there is a
download link for it on the web. You can get more info about how File browser
handles downloading web content from the app itself. Open the Config button at
the far right of the File browser bottomline menu, select hints and tips, and
then Downloading web content. It gives specific instructions on how to do this
with File browser and makes no mention of file type limitations.

Good luck.

Re: iMazing 2.2 review: A better way to use your Mac to manage your iPhone and iPad

2017-05-19 Thread Ed Worrell
Hello Mary,

No I did not get it from the app store. I downloaded the free trial from their
website: http://imazing.com It seems to work ok with
VoiceOver. The best way I have found to use the interface is to utilize the
side bar navigation to access the content on the device. The sections that must
be interacted with are not labeled for VoiceOver users, but if you can remember
how many sections in every category it isn’t to bad to navigate with VO. I have
found that if you use the hint keyboard command you can figure out what some of
the unlabeled buttons are. I then used VO + / to label the button on the Mac. I
have not tried to do so, but you might be able to put a lebel on the unlabeled
sections. It’s worth a try.

 Macworld / J.R. Bookwalter

 iMazing > ($40 for a
 single-user license; multi-user
licenses available) is an iOS device management utility designed as an
alternative to iTunes. Available for Mac or PC (the license can be used
on either platform), iMazing doesn’t sync files in the traditional
sense, but rather acts as a conduit for transferring files between
desktop computers and iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices.

Think of iMazing as iTunes without media purchasing or playback, but a
whole lot more versatile. iMazing also does many things Apple’s media
player can only dream of, like exporting iMessage conversations. Annoyed
by how iTunes saves device backups on your internal drive? With iMazing,
you can store these enormous files anywhere you’d like, and browse
archives with Time Machine-style simplicity. (Archives work on Mac or
PC-formatted volumes, not on network-attached storage devices.)

 imazing 2.2 backup optionsJ. R. Bookwalter/IDG

iMazing allows iOS device backups to be saved anywhere, but only Mac or
PC formatted volumes work for archives.

In addition to managing apps, photos, music, videos, notes, call logs,
and voice memos, iMazing 2.2 adds the ability to transfer ebooks and PDF
documents to iBooks. Better yet, photos can now be transferred from
computer to iOS via drag-and-drop, although albums created this way
can’t be deleted from the Photos app and won’t be included in backups.

There are other limitations to be aware of. Certain data types including
Messages, call history, voicemail, Contacts, and Notes can only be
accessed from a backup, rather than the device itself. As a result,
iMazing occasionally feels slower to use than iTunes. My personal pet
peeve is how long the application takes to perform an initial scan of
iCloud Photo Library thumbnails, although devices with fewer images
 won’t have this problem.

 imazing 2.2 stock2DigiDNA

iMazing can also access and export text messages, but only from an
 existing device backup.

Restore and transfer

One of iMazing’s coolest features is the ability to copy content between
devices, quite handy for upgrading to a new iPhone or iPad.

Re: Looking for an app, please.

2017-05-19 Thread Mária Orovčíková

Hello all,
thank you very much for all your sugestions.
As for downloading files, it will be mostly PDF files and sometimes MP3 files
and very rarely avi files.
I have already installed file browser, is it able to download all these files?
Thanks again.
With kind regards,
Maria

ParcelTrack App Recommendation

2017-05-19 Thread Alan Lemly
Hi List,

I'm a fan of package tracking apps and have used ShipRack for quite some
time but have been disappointed that its notifications really haven't worked
for quite some time. I discovered the ParcelTrack app mentioned on an
AppleVis communication and think this will be my package tracking app going
forward. I think its premium version costing only $2.99 USD is a very good
deal compared to the Parcel app's ongoing subscription charge. I like that
ParcelTrack premium has a feature to add new packages to track by forwarding
a shipment notification email to your ParcelTrack Inbox and that it's
available across multiple devices and computers. I know these are pretty
standard featurs in tracking apps and the proof will be in performance but I
like the price and feature set of ParcelTrack and it is fully accessible
based on what I've seen so far on my iPhone 7 running iOS 10.3.2. Here's a
web link to ParcelTrack for any who want to read more about it:

https://parceltrack.de/en/

Re: GPS Apps

2017-05-19 Thread Ed Worrell
I have used both the Seeing Eye GPS and the NearBy explorer applications on
iOS. I find that the interface of the Seeing Eye is much more intuitive and
less cluttered. I live in Montana (USA) and the Seeing Eye seems to have much
more accurate readings for POI’s and gives me much better information whilst on
route. I do how ever love using the NearBy Explorer on my BrailleNote Touch as
it works amazing on Android.

Re: controlling unwanted motion

2017-05-19 Thread Ed Worrell
Hello Vickie,

iMessage effects are little animations that can be added to an iMessage to
another iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This does stuff like adding fireworks, confetti,
etc. You would perform it on an iPhone 6s or newer with the 3D touch feature on
the send button in Messages. On the iPad I believe that you would have to
double tap and hold on the iPad, assuming you are using VoiceOver. If not you
will just simply tap and hold on the send button.

I hope this helps,

Maria,

When it comes to file manipulation on an I device, I really like the app File
browser by Stratospherix Ltd. It is very accessible with VoiceOver and gives
you a lot of control over your files on your I device as well as your local
network. I'm not sure what sort of downloading you're wanting to do from your
post but I expect file browser cam handle it.

Good luck.

Reduced motion was off so I turned it on. What is IMessage effect?

Keep in mind that when reduced motion is off you can't use iMessage effects.
Also, it make no difference with respect to how sensitive the screen is etc.
If you are maybe referring to the phone unlocking when you move it then you
need to turn off raise to wake in Settings > Display and Brightness.

2017-05-19 Thread Mária Orovčíková

Hello list,

please, does anyone know any Voiceover accessible app that would let me
download any file on my Iphone and Ipad (MP3, PDF, doc, Zip etc.)?

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

With kind regards,

Maria
