Re: fitbit app questions
Ok for others, I discovered that if I go into the fitbit app on my iPhone, and tap on my name then on the versa2 icon I can edit my details there. According to the help and manual, you have to be able to swipe to the alexa app on the fitbit to enable it. I setup alexa on my phone and it says my fitbit is offline, so I uess I will need some sighted help to set it to online. Wish there was a screen reader on the fitbit :) On 12/26/19, Donald Raikes wrote: > Hi, > > My wife gave me a fitbit versa2 for Christmas, and when I went to set > it up, I discovered some issues with the fitbit app and voiceover. > > 1. during setup, I was asked for my birth date, height and weight. > I thought I got the birth date right, but I couldn't figure out how to > set the height and weight accurately. Hi Holly, Go to Accessibility Then do a four finger touch at the bottom of the screen to go to the last item on the menu which is accessibility short cut. Double tap on that and go to something about hearing aids. I don't have my aids paired right now so I don't remember exactly what it was called. But when you go down that list you will be able to tell because it will be selected. I have VO selected in my list which I want for the triple click home button. fitbit app questions
Hi, My wife gave me a fitbit versa2 for Christmas, and when I went to set it up, I discovered some issues with the fitbit app and voiceover. 1. during setup, I was asked for my birth date, height and weight. I thought I got the birth date right, but I couldn't figure out how to set the height and weight accurately. Today I went to the fitbit website and my profile is all wrong. The birth date, weight and height are all wrong. Does anyone know how I can correct these and how to accurately set them using VoiceOver? Secondly, according to the info with the versa2, I should be able to use alexa on the fitbit, but can't figure out how to do it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am anxious to take this out for a test run "or more accurately walk). Thanks, Donald -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. Second, if one is a hearing aid user, a triple-tap of the HOME button brings up a dialog that doesn't, or didn't, speak, offering the choice of turning VoiceOver off or doing some other thing with hearing aids which I forget just now how it's worded. In either case, that dialog didn't speak either, so someone relying on VoiceOver was rendered helpless without it. Third, Siri didn't do it either. VoiceOver was entirely hosed until the phone was rebooted. If that's been fixed in 13.3, I can deal with whatever else there might still be, long as I have VO. Re: Odd problem between dropbox, my iPhone, and streaming
You only need to use the zip function if there is more than one file in the series that you want to play in order, like chapters of a book. Try a described movie sometime and you will be amazed at how good it sounds. Good luck. You could also do things like zip an entire season of a favorite tv show and play it on voice dream reader. So I am not quite sure if this is the right place to ask this question. So I have actually asked this on another list I am on, as well. Anyway, about a week and a half ago or so, I was listening to a file on my phone, through Dropbox. I do this a lot. I put stuff in to a Dropbox folder, than just play the file whenever I want to. I don’t know if this would be considered streaming, or not. Well, I have been catching up with the show, Chicago Med. The files are mp3 files. So about a week and a half ago, while watching an episode, it all of a sudden stopped playing. I went to the play/pause button, and attempted to restart it. I did get it to restart. But not a minute later, it happened again. I didn’t really have this happen again. So I didn’t think much of it. At the time this started, we were using Spectrum as our ISP. But now we have AT fiber. I don’t know if this makes a difference or not. But I thought I would mention it. Well, over the week I continued to watch episodes of the show. Everything seemed fine. Then 2 nights ago, this all started again. I had problems getting the episode to restart. I even tried closing out the Dropbox App, and restarting it. But nothing I do seems to make much of a difference. Also, it doesn’t seem to matter if the screen is locked or not. I usually keep the screen locked once I get an episode started. Now a couple of times, when I would unlock the screen, after the episode had stopped, it would continue to play on it’s own. But this is not always the case. I have a 10 X. It is up to date. Dropbox is up to date as well. What could possibly be going on? Could this have to do something with my phone and Dropbox? I would figure it isn’t my ISP, sense this happened while using Spectrum. At the time both these events have happened, it was in the middle of the night, or early morning. There wasn’t any other streaming, or downloading going on. Any help or thoughts would be very

IMDB TV
I cannot air play any movies from IMDB TV with my iPhone. Is anyone having this problem, or is it because IMDB TV does not allow it? Re: Odd problem between dropbox, my iPhone, and streaming
I'm glad you got it to work. Actually now that I think of it, I don't think you have to zip an individual mp3 file. I've added individual mp3 files from dropbox to voice-dream reader before. I just forgot. On 12/26/19, Terri Stimmel wrote: > Hello Joshua and list, > > I tried to listen to the file that I was having trouble with, using voice > dream. The file seemed just fine. Re: Odd problem between dropbox, my iPhone, and streaming
Hello Joshua and list, I tried to listen to the file that I was having trouble with, using voice dream. The file seemed just fine. It blade straight through, with no problems. So thank you for recommending this. I do appreciate it. I was wondering though, why would I want to zip a single MP3 file, when putting it into dropbox? Is there a reason for this? Why couldn’t I just leave the MP3 as it is? I could see the reason to zip up a whole show.
