2022-03-10 Thread CHELA Robles
Hello Mark,
That is not the case with Duolingo. There aren’t any photos they display the
words both in English and the language that you’re learning say English in
Spanish for example and you have to match the Spanish word with the English
word no pictures involved there are tabs per options and when I mean tap the
pairs, you just double tap like you would since you’re using voiceover. When
you’ve gotten it all correct you’ll hear a little chime telling you that it’s
done and that you’ve successfully matched each foreign word with English for
example. I have never tried Pimsleur before I mean I’ve heard their audio tapes
but that was way back in the day lol! Didn’t know they had an app and as for
dual lingo plus which is the subscription the cheapest one is $9.99 a month.

Hello,

I am currently using the Duo Lingo app to study some French. I find it totally
accessible so far. The app does have a subscription version that will remove
ads and some other usage limits but I am not certain of the cost as I am just
working with the free part of the app. The app does have some "listen and
speak" capabilities along with introducing reading, writing, and grammar. It is
fun and effective.

I have also used the Pimsleur language learning app. This app teaches
conversational languages and does not get into reading and writing and grammar
very much. It is an audio based system, listen and repeat. It is a subscription
app asking $18.xx per month for a 3-language option or $25 per month cost for
full access to all 51 languages they support. I have found the app fully
accessible so far and I have used the Pimsleur courses in the past to pick up a
basic intro to languages for foreign countries that I have visited. For me,
this system has been very successful.

Re: Looking for accessible language learning Apps

2022-03-10 Thread CHELA Robles
Try Duolingo you can use it on the web duolingo.com or on the appstore you can
find it and it's very accessible and has the languages you are interested in. I
love the app and I use it on a regular basis it’s like playing a game except
you’re learning a lot.

Looking for accessible language learning Apps

2022-03-10 Thread Terri Stimmel

Hello everyone,

I can't remember if this was recently asked here, or not. If so, I do
apologize. I know I saw similar questions somewhere.

Anyway, I am looking for an accessible App, to help me possibly learn a
new language. I am most interested in learning Chinese, Spanish, and
maybe one other as well. I don't know how possible any of this is. But I
just really want to try it, rather or not it works out.

I want an App where the learning is done through interaction. Not just
studying, or trying to do a lot of memorizing.

Also, I don't mind purchasing an App. Or paying to learn the languages.
But I would like the App to be quite accessible, and easy to use, if
possible.

What do you all think? Does what I am looking for, even exist?

Thank you,

Terri

Hello everyone, I rarely post to list because mostly all I need to know, is
usually covered.

As stated in subject, I never changed anything & my incoming text messages,
they were set to be read aloud as they arrived.

When my phone updated to 15.1, now I get a incoming notification & whatever

2022-03-10 Thread Carolyn
Thanks.

Well, last night, I typed a text and sent it to my pastor, who has an Android
phone. I never saw where it was delivered, and Sent was dimmed. If he hadn't
responded, Thank you, I'd have not bee sure he got it. I do not have an

Re: iTunes music not transferring to iPhone

2022-03-10 Thread Woody Anna Dresner
Hi,

iTunes has a powerful retagging feature. YOu can tag an individual track or an
album. Select the track or tracks you want to work with, and press Control I in
Windows or CMD-I on a Mac. You can even set up your iTunes library to organize
your music, in which case it will move tracks into album folders which are
within artist folders when you tag the tracks.

Best,
Anna

iTunes music not transferring to iPhone

2022-03-10 Thread Marty
Hello,  I have noticed that when transferring music from my
computer to my iPhone 8 via iTunes, not all of my music is showing up on
my phone.  There is plenty of memory space, so I know that this is not
the issue.  I do know that some of my song files are missing some
metadata.  Could this be the reason for songs not transferring?  I have
been using MP3 Tagger to try to bring all files into some sort of
uniformity and when this is complete, how do I delete my current library
from iTunes, so I can import the properly labeled library?

If I can set up facial ID, I think most people can. I am well up in my years,
totally blind, and not especially tech savvy.

Hi Chuck,

I strongly encourage you to set up face ID on your new iPhone. Touch ID is not
available on iPhone swithout home buttons and having used phones with both
types of biometric identification, face ID works much better than touch ID.
Good luck with your new iPhone and I hope FlickType Classic is working well on
it.

Hello everyone, I am wondering about using apple pay on a newer iPhone
without a tactile home button. Is there a specific place for scanning the
fingerprint?
I understand these iPhone's have face recognition but I prefer to use a
fingerprint, if possible.
Thanks,
