Difficulty in adding signature in my mail

Hi all, using a 14 pro max, iOS 16.1.1. Digit eyes opens but won't recognise any barcodes. It gives the blip to say it's scanning. Have signed out, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and allowed access to the camera again. Have written to support and so far heard nothing. Wondering if others
