I don't think the regular iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have Titanium frames, but of
course I could be wrong.
Of course it's also beyond me why if you have an iPhone 14 Pro Max you would
buy a 15 Plus which has the exact same chip, it lacks the LiDAR sensor your 14
Pro Max has and as far as I can tell all you get is an action button to which
you can map one single function and you have a USB-C port instead of a
Lightning port.
Of course if you decide you don't want it any more you can send it to me, it is
starting to get cold up here in Northern British Columbia and this may make a
nice hand warmer 藍

15 Series

Hello All,

Well, I have been working with a 15 Plus for over a week. I have truly been
putting it through it proverbial paces and I can tell you that the device heats
up far faster and far warmer than does my beloved 14 Pro Max.

It's really quite interesting as I understand that the 15 Plus is just a 14
series inside that titanium case. Is this true?

Regardless, with only a screen protector installed and using a cheap $10 case I
purchased at the Apple store, using the device for any uninterrupted length of
time when performing longer tasks such as performing system restores, lengthy
GPS navigation, App updates (over 30 or so at a time) the phone really heats
up. I'm not saying it is heating to a dangerous level but I am saying that it
is heating up so much and so fast that I have decided to not purchase a 15 Pro
Max, this year.

Of course I am comparing the 15 Plus with my beloved 14 Pro Max with the same
level of screen brightness.

Okay, just thought I would pass this along.

Keep in mind, this is just my experience: Your milage may vary.

I hope you are all doing well.

Mark

RE: iPhone Plus, Definitely Heating It Up: Mark is Taking a Pass on iPhone 15 Series

2023-10-12 Thread Sieghard Weitzel

Subject: iPhone Plus, Definitely Heating It Up: Mark is Taking a Pass on iPhone
15 Series

Mark

Hi,

I have both a 15 Pro and a 15 Pro Max and so far no activities have caused them
to get any warmer than prior devices I've owned. I may perceive the warmth it
exhibits during charging with the 240 watt USB-C cable with Apple's 30 watt
charger to be slightly more so than other prior devices have exhibited but
nothing that would cause me to be overly concerned and I am one who literally
loathes when a device heats up so I would be prone to reacting to such a
perception or reality.

Just chiming in with my experiences for the sake of sharing I'm not in any way
seeking to minimize or invalidate the experiences of others merely reporting
that which I've noted thus far.

Take good care,

Robin

All my previous iPhone from 5 to 12 alerted me about battery when it was %20,

changing the batteries was the first thing I did. Give me a moment. I will

Apart from forgetting the keyboard and pairing it again and doing the Reset
Network Settings there probably isn't much you can do.
Are you using that keyboard with any other devices? If not maybe make sure
it is not out of battery power.

for some reason I get no response what so ever. The keyboard I normallly use

but it immediately states that it is not connected. no matter how many times
I double tap its icon it doesn't connect. Any suggestions are welcome. I did
do a network reset but I don't hink it worked because my wi-fi information

Hi Robert,

I am also running the iOS 17.1 Developer Beta and I just used my Logitech

keyboard paired to my phone forever and while I wasn't doing anything fancy,
as soon as I switched it on I was able to type into the edit field on

Thanks Robert, that sounds like it will work. I have been getting better
with my editing commands, and have started selecting and then typing or
using space or backspace to edit the text. The Apple Magic Keyboard I have
is like a laptop keyboard, which means there is no 6-pack.

Re: Bluetooth keyboard editing iOS commands

2023-10-12 Thread Robert Doc Wright
I just reset network settings, repaired my keyboard, it beeped but I cannot
do anything with the keyboard and it shows in the list as not connected. But
I can connect my NLS E-Reader.
I just forgot my Logitech K760 and it goes through the motions, shows in the
list of devices but will not connect.

Hi Robert,

I am also running the iOS 17.1 Developer Beta and I just used my Logitech
K780 keyboard this morning to reply to a bunch of messages. I had this
keyboard paired to my phone forever and while I wasn't doing anything fancy,
as soon as I switched it on I was able to type into the edit field on
Facebook, the Messages app and also in WhatsApp.

I normally use the keyboard all the time when I am at home. Right now due to
my running the developer beta bluetooth is not working in iOS17.1 for BT
keyboards..

Thanks Robert, that sounds like it will work. I have been getting better
with my editing commands, and have started selecting and then typing or
using space or backspace to edit the text. The Apple Magic Keyboard I have
is like a laptop keyboard, which means there is no 6-pack.
