If you select “install later” then yes, it will do just that, it will wait until the phone is on a charger to make sure there is enough power for the install and then it will install. You could have just closed that screen and nothing would have happened. From: viphone@googlegroups.com On

Well, I told it to install later. Because that was the only option you gave me. And I went and plugged in, maybe an hour or so later, and then all of a sudden it when it had been installed. My phone was locked on the charger. Joseph Hudson EmailFaceTime/iMessage jhud7...@twc.com Connect with

Maybe check and make sure you didn’t accidently turn on screen recognition in WhatsApp which can do strange things. This is another nice feature in iOS 17, if you have screen recognition on for a particular app, Voiceover tells you so when you open the app. From: viphone@googlegroups.com On

Now that Chris provided that solution for the double tap, I have absolutely no issues with iOS 17 any more or at least not any I didn’t have with iOS 16. And iOS 17.2 is coming out shortly and typically by the time the second major update of a new OS comes out there is little or no reason not

I think at least in North America (US and Canada) “downgrading” would be the most commonly used term if you want to go back to a previous version. “Rolling back” I at least associate mostly with driver updates, but not so much with downgrading an operating system like iOS 17 to 16 or Windows 11

Hi Alison, I guess we're dealing with differences between UK versus American English words. I think of backdating as relating to documents as opposed to rolling back to a previous software or app version. Sorry for my confusion. Alan Lemly Sent from my iPhoneOn Nov 26, 2023, at 11:20 AM, CJ & AA

We are lucky that you're still able to delay the upgrade. Because I had no choice. It made me upgrade. My grandmother's phone also did the same. But my mom's phone has not yet. It'll be amazing to see how long hers last. Joseph Hudson EmailFaceTime/iMessage jhud7...@twc.com Connect with me on
