 I cleared the app, switcher and restarted the phone and I’m still having that problem. It’s puzzling. I tried Siri again both with and without Wi-Fi and got the same results. It cannot recognize music right now. Fortunately I did get Shazam to work. But I’m still curious about why Siri is doing

Shazam is not needed. It was an alternative that I used when I had the same issue as the OP with iOS 16. Now with iOS 17 identifying music with Siri works fine. Not sure what fixed it the update-or reset of settings. Shazam was and is more efficient and it logs the music you identified in a
