Opening search on iPhone with braille display

2013-10-06 Thread Anisio Correia
Hello all,

Is there a way to open spotlight search on the iPhone via the braille display?
Each time I need to search something, I need to do a 3-finger swipe down on the
iphone. It would be great if I could activate the command from my braille
display.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello everyone,

I can't seem to figure out how to create folders in iOS 7. Apparently, the way

BARD no longer works in the background

I seem to recall that, initially, the BARD Mobile app would continue work even

Re: AccessWorld App Problem

2014-11-09 Thread Anisio Correia
Hi all,

Using an iPhone 6 and iOS 8.1, the last month I am able to see on the app is
July. This is true if I select the current issue tab or the back issues tab. I
also restored my phone from a previous backup whenI purchased it. So, there
doesn't seem to be any consistent behavior (or misbehavior) across devices.

I'm going to try and use the contact us tab to let AFB know of theproblem, but

It is indeed. In UEB and, I believe, contracted braille, the number sign for
numbers is 3-4-5-6. However, as you don't want numbers, use 4-5-6, 1-5-6-7
instead. One way to confirm this would be to just write the symbol with the

Voice Dream Writer supports a subset of Markdown, a quick way to format

 I

I would guess it works the same no matter the airline.

Thanks for clarifying how this works.

Re: Spotlight search not always giving results

2016-02-27 Thread Anisio Correia
Yes, Siri does work for finding and opening any app. However, I'm often in a
setting where Cannot use Siri and would rather enter the name of the app in
spotlight search using my braille display. My issue is that this method
sometimes works, but other times it yields no results.

Prolems when using iPhone with braille displays

2018-03-11 Thread Anisio Correia
Hello all,

For quite some time, I have been having great difficulty when inputting data
via a braille display on my iPhone 7 running the latest iOS. Regardless of the
braille display (APH Refreshabraille, VarioUltra, Humanware Brilliant, etc), I
am constantly seeing my cursor jumping around, so I often enter text where I
don't want to. Also, i find missing letters and at times complete words not
entered, even though I typed them on my didisplay.

Has anyone found this and have you come up with a solution?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Problems using Brailliant bi20x with VoiceOver on the iPhone

2021-10-05 Thread Anisio Correia
Hello everybody,

Has anyone encountered issues using the Humanware Brailliant bi20X with
VoiceOver? When using the display, any streaming audio is often interrupted for
a few seconds. Also, when tapping on a group notification, rather than
expanding the group, it simply gets stuckuntil you click on something called
contextual button.

Can someone help with some directions for playing Wordle using Voiceover? I’ve

Thanks in advance — Anisio

Stand for easier scanning

2023-01-23 Thread Anisio Correia
Hello,

Do any of you use any kind of stand for more accurate scans using, say, the
Seeing AI? I used to have one which was made of cardboard, looked like a thick
manila folder which would unfold to form something like a “tent” with a hole on
the top (center). The print page would then be placed on the bottom and the
phone camera on top, with the camera facing down through the hole. This ensured
an accurate scan every single time. I can’t seem to find anything similar on
the web.

Any help?

Thanks,

Anisio

Hello all,

I am no longer able to access radio streams on the MLB app. For some reason,
with Voiceover, the Audio button is not visible. Once with sighted help I get
the button activated, then I can move around the various radio audio
streams.Has anyone been able to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Re: Calls on Speaker

2023-02-02 Thread Anisio Correia
Hi Karen,

Go to Settings, Accessibility, Touch and Call Audio Routing. You will be able
to change where a phone call sound/voice will come through.

Hope this answers your question.
