Opening search on iPhone with braille display
Hello all, Is there a way to open spotlight search on the iPhone via the braille display? Each time I need to search something, I need to do a 3-finger swipe down on the iphone. It would be great if I could activate the command from my braille display. Thanks in advance for any help. Re: Series silences!
I find it useful to always start by saying Hello siri. That seems to wake her up. Or, are you there, siri? After that, the program seems to respond much more promptly. Anyone got any more thoughts about what to do? I do find that there has been some improvement on how well Siri is working now, because at first that was not good either. I’m not sure why it’s an all or nothing thing like this but I have found it a really useful strategy as I used to slavishly wait for a response and, as I say, nine times out of ten was disappointed because you’d wait ten or fifteen seconds only for him to apologise profusely about being unavailable. I don't have a way to compare if this was the issue with iOS 7.x or if it might be an on-going issue with the Brailliant display. Ideas and/or suggestions welcome. Spotlight search no longer works
Hello all, I used to be able to open spotlight search, type the few few letters and get immediate results of possible apps, contacts, etc. that started with those letters. Prolems when using iPhone with braille displays
Hello all, For quite some time, I have been having great difficulty when inputting data via a braille display on my iPhone 7 running the latest iOS. Regardless of the braille display (APH Refreshabraille, VarioUltra, Humanware Brilliant, etc), I am constantly seeing my cursor jumping around, so I often enter text where I don't want to. Also, i find missing letters and at times complete words not entered, even though I typed them on my didisplay. Has anyone found this and have you come up with a solution? Stand for easier scanning
Hello, Do any of you use any kind of stand for more accurate scans using, say, the Seeing AI? I used to have one which was made of cardboard, looked like a thick manila folder which would unfold to form something like a “tent” with a hole on the top (center). The print page would then be placed on the bottom and the phone camera on top, with the camera facing down through the hole. This ensured an accurate scan every single time.
