How can I link my secondary phone to my private phone as a link device in

I am not sure if you misquote me intentionally or unintentionally.

Either way, the correct fact is that I have supported Bookshare for 7 years. 
All of the users of the app together in December 2024 downloaded 10 books from 
Bookshare. Yes that is less of work to download those ten book for those 10 
users ( than for me to write the support for Bookshare (and I would quickly 
remind you on your statements on how much support is expensive for one app that 
you love and how they need to charge immense amount for that).

I am not sure how you can blame me for Speech Central users (including if you 
make the subgroup of VoiceOver users only) highly prefer to use PDFs, ePubs, 
web and almost everything else except books from Bookshare. I did spend my 
effort on non-profit basis for 7 years to support those people even if their 
volume of usage wasn't something that justified the support. I would imagine 
that this deserves some words like "thank you" or something similar. What 
exactly did I do wrong?

Further I think that at the moment if someone is to be blamed it is Bookshare 
as they do allow downloads from the website, but don't implement the share 
function in their Reader app which would make importing into any app a piece of 
cake. No need for any app in this world to write the support for Bookshare as 
every app would support Bookshare.

Normally, I I touch at the bottom left corner where the delete button is and 
then flick left with one finger.
That usually lands me on the attachment.
Then I can double tap on it and open it and read or print.

Face ID With Banking App

I log in  my Bank of Montreal app with face id with iPhone12 just fine, 
however, with 15Pro, the app does not present face id option and I have to log 
in with password.
If someone is using Bank of Montreal app with face id with 15Pro, I would like 
to know how can I use FI, please?

Completing Phone Number or Email Address?

Hi, Group.
Some of the apps want to send us a code via email or text message and they show 
partial email and phone number. How should I tell them my choice, just double 
tap the email or the phone or complete one of them?
This morning I was adding my visa to wallet and they wanted sending me a code. 
I could not find the text field to type either the phone number or the email.
When I double-tapped the button showing the partial phone number, it did not 
give me a text field to type or complete the number.
Any help is much appreciated.

and on the left side, there is a small greenhouse with a glass structure and a 
wooden base. Next to the greenhouse, there is a raised wooden garden bed with 
some plants. A green hose is snaking across the lawn.
In the middle ground, there is a wooden fence with a black tarp draped over 
part of it. Behind the fence, there is a large, freshly tilled field that 
appears to be ready for planting.
In the background, there are tall trees with leaves in shades of gold and 
green, indicating that it might be autumn. Beyond the trees, there are a few 
houses and structures. In the far distance, there are majestic mountains 
partially obscured by clouds. The sky above is overcast.

One thing I would possibly question a little is the "lush" description in 
connection with our lawn. It is relatively green, but we had a super dry summer 
and due to water restrictions were not allowed to water the lawn so while now 
we have more moisture at night due to humidity and temperatures in the mid 
30's, it's green, but I wouldn't call it "lush".
The description of the greenhouse is spot on, it is probably 50 feet away and 
the "wpooden base" did surprise me, but it is indeed built on 16-inch tall and 
6 inch wide fir timbers which I did to make it not so low. What the description 
didn't get is that it is sitting on a concrete pad.
The fence description is also correct, in fact I took one other picture before 
this one and in that it even said that the fence appears to be new which is not 
incorrect since it's made from cedar and I build it just last fall so the wood 
still looks fairly fresh.
The bit about the tarp is also right on. I am still working on building a 
double gate for the 10 foot opening in the fence and for now I put a long board 
across the two posts and hung a tarp over that because behind our property is 
an approx. 3 or 4 acre open field which belongs to a school just a few houses 
down from us and they are currently in the process of establishing a soccre 
field and green area around that.
Because of that large open space and the fact that due to the drought there are 
hardly any berries in the mountains, we have a lot of black bears in town this 
fall and while we just picked the rest of our apples yesterday, I don't want 
them in the yard if possible. The tarp russles and crackles a bit when it's 
windy which seems to work quite well to keep them out. Just in the past 3 days 
our Ring doorbell camera captured one nice black bear walking across our 
driveway in front of the house and a couple days earlier a Mama Bear with 3 
babies in toe walked by

Mac for the Blind is proud to announce the continuation of the online courses 
series!

If you would prefer not to receive these updates in the future, please

After the success with the previous online courses and requests from 
several people, I will be conducting five more classes into the middle of 
December. I’m going to be doing things a little differently this time around, 
however. These courses will be a five part series all involving VoiceOver and 
the Mac that will be geared for people who might be seriously considering the 
purchase of a Mac, people who are just getting started with their Mac, or users 
who are experienced but want to sure up their knowledge. The first course will 
be free to everyone, but the four subsequent sessions will be $20.00 to 
register separately with a $70.00 cost for those who would like to register for 
all four paid courses at once. You can, of course, pick and choose what courses 
you prefer, but understand that I will be teaching the material in a series 
with the assumption that participants have been exposed to the previous 
sessions. Again, these will all be held via Zoom in the same manner as the 
previous courses with the Zoom links being sent directly to you when the course 
date approaches..

purchased my ticket from a travel agent and he sent me a PDF file with all the

As I explained, you only get a boarding pass when you check into your flight 
and this can only be done within 24 hours of when the flight departs.
If your flight leaves on February 29, 2024 and let's assume it leaves at 3 PM, 
then you can check in to your flight and obtain your boarding pass on February 
28 at 3 PM or later. Once you wait until that time and check in, your boarding 
pass will be displayed at the very end of the check-in process and at that time 
there should be a button which allows you to add it to the wallet.

Every app is different, but typically you only get the option to add a boarding 
pass to the wallet at the time you check in for your flight and that can only

I don't think you can have your actual itinerary in the wallet app, this should

Am I going about this whole process the wrong way? Should I maybe not bother 
with this app and stick with other apps or methods?
I find it so cool that many people are just showing their tickets from their 
phones or that they are keeping track of their trip via their phones and 
figured it would be a good thing for me as well.

Keyboard Doesn't Open?

Hi, Group.
It happened a couple of times with me in last two days that the keyboard does 
not open in edit field. When I double tap it, I hear a strange type of ding 
sound but the keyboard does not open. It is happening in WhatsApp, Google Map 
etc.

ResMed10 App?

I got my first ever CPAP machine and it is ResMed10.
I have download its app, myAir from the AppStore but I am having difficulty 
with agreeing with their terms I can not find the checkbox to check.
May I know how can I access the line/checkbox where I can give my consent with 
the app?

That’s right. You will need to create a Mastodon account first. Then you can 
use Mona to log into it.

There are lots of Mastodon servers you could join. Quite a few blind people are 
on the tweesecake server at https://tweesecake.social

If you go to that link, you will see the rules for the Tweesecake server and a 
Create Account link you can use to join. It looks like a moderator will need to 
approve your request. Once you are accepted, you can log into your account and 
then choose New Account in Mona.

Note that I’m not on Tweesecake; I just used it as an example. Also, if you 
later decide you prefer a different server, you can switch to it, bringing your 
lists of followers and who you follow along with you.

the app doesn’t control my ResMed CPAP device. It seems to do the  following:

  *   Link to  existing Web-based sleep records showing records of hours slept 
with the CPAP in operation.
  *   Display results of  what may be a scoring system for quality of sleep, 
sleep apnea events each hour, and  reports of mask leaks. (Evidently the ResMed 
devices, MyAir 10 and above, report  this information and it’s placed on the 
Web and password protected.)
  *   Present video tutorials to help the user have a better experience.

As I work with the app, I’ll report further.

Keyboard Disappeared From WhatsApp?

Keyboard is not showing up  when I compose a message or when I search a contact

iPhone 12th does not send SMS with physical Sim?

Hi, group.
I have iPhone 12 that has E-SIM in it.
I am in Pakistan now where I am using the physical Sim from a local provider. 
My main Sim is from Canadian provider.
I have disabled E-SIM and using the physical Sim for all the calls. I, however, 
am unable to send the SMS  by non of these Sims.
I prefer sending the SMS with the physical Sim rather than the main SIM.
What should I do in order to send the SMS with the physical Sim?

I went to AppleStore to purchase Airtags.

She showed me the airtag on the demo that was in a key-ring. She took it out
and told me that the key-ring is not the part of the airtag and I have to
purchase the key-ring separately. The Key-ring was more expensive then
airtag.

Can I get an economic alternative for this key-ring?

If yes, what should my search term be on Amazon?

That is probably a question for which you may not get an answer on this list 
since Saudi Arabia is not a country which one can easily visit; have you tried 
to reach out to the Saudi government to ask? Unless these mosks have been 
equipped with beacons like those from NaviGuide or mapped the way GoodMaps uses 
for indoor navigation I doubt this would be the case.

iPhone12 Doesn't Ring

I put a physical SIM in my iPhone12 and the phone doesn't ring nor does it
make a call. Cellular data is on but incoming call goes to voicemail.

What should I check for, please?

It keeps it on your phone within the Voice Dream Scanner app. So, if you scan 
another document, and keep it, that new one will be added to the previous one 
and so on. You can choose to save it by exporting it to another app. 

Then, clear it out of Scanner, and scan new items.

Travelling With ESim?

I would be travelling next month with ESim but I would be getting the
physical local Sim just as soon as I get to my destination. I would use my
ESim just to keep an eye on incoming calls as I don't want to pay roaming
charges.

How can I make sure that I am absolutely not using ESim's data, please?

Can I have two distinct ring-tones for each Sim? If yes, how can I do it,
please?

Make sure you didn't accidently turn on screen recognition, if  you have it in

Hi, Group.

I have iPhone12 with iOS16.3.

Mostly I read my emails on my Windows PC but sometimes I check emails on iphone 
too.

I had no problem using iphone native email client before, today, however, I am 
experiencing a changed behavior from this email client.

I, for instance, when open this first message, it says four messages although 
this is a single message and it is not collapsed either. I also saw some tabs 
that were not there before. They were Delete Tab, Folder Tab, Composed tab, etc.

I did not find the action-button to reply or forward the message. It also says 
go up button, go down-button and I don’t know what it means.

One More thing.

I, by mistake, activated one of very ennoying haptics which I have to hear with 
each right swipe, how can I deactivate this haptics, please?

iPhone Native Email?

Hi, Group.

I have iPhone12 with iOS16.3.

Yes, it will work as a watch, you will be able to use things like alarms, the

Activity in Apple Watch SE2?

Hi, Group.

I have a non-cellular Apple Watch SE2.

When I was in gym today, I saw 'Setup Activities' on the Watch-face of SE2
and when I double-tapped on it, I wasn't sure how to set activities up.

Any help is much appreciated.

One more thing, I am trying to find and download the manual of SE2 or any
podcast/tutorial from Voiceover perspective but no luck so far, any help
here would be duly appreciated too.

As long as you have a lightning port on the apple end of the cable you can use 
either charger. I am sure you can find both chargers at your local Walmart. 
This is happening because The EU. Witch has a big market share in the world is 
standardizing the usb c port. So you can use either charger with two ports. You 
just have to decide if you want one with type a ports or type c ports witch is 
the new standard. As long is there is a lightning port on one end of the cable.

Apple Watch SE2 Strap?

with the watch along with a smaller band is bit shorter for me.

Can I buy a bit larger compatible band from somewhere?

Apple Watch SE2 Box?

Hi, Group.

I got my first ever Apple Watch today.

It is SE2 and I got it from local Apple Store.

One of the Store clerks put the band in it and set it up too without
Voiceover.

Now when I brought it home, I don't know how to open this watch-box.

It is an oblong box with rings on either end of the box but I have no idea
how to open this.

May I know how to open it?

Otherwise, I'd call Be My Eyes tomorrow morning.

Hi Fazil,

 

If your watch has a cell connection, you will need to set that up with your 
phone carrier. I don’t think it matters whether you do that before or after the 
watch arrives. If the watch doesn’t offer cell service, you don’t need to 
contact your carrier because you won’t be setting up a plan for it.

Is This Volume Different?

Hi, Group.

When I am on hold for the next volunteer in Be My Eyes, I hear nothing
unless I turn the volume up and then I hear the on-hold-music.

When I activated a link for a group call in WhatsApp, I did not hear
VoiceOver until I raised the volume.

Is this a different volume from Voiceover volume that we control with
volume-up-/down button? Siri also has a different volume level from
VoiceOver Volume.

How are these other volume levels controlled?

Call History in iPhone?

Hi, Group.

How far back can I go in the call history of iPhone?

The reason I'm asking this is that my phone bill has a charge for a call to
UK which I can not recall of making.

I was told that it was made on 12 January and I can go back to 26 January.
Can I go farther back than 26 January? If yes, how can it be done, please?
