Re: NFB June Braille Monitor/Article on the iPhone
You know, not every blind person belongs to a consumer organization. Although I am familiar with Mr. Chong, heck, have socialized with the guy years ago, I'd bet that lots of average blind people have no clue who he is and don't even read the Braille Monitor. If you are already in that organization, then of course you probably read the magazine every issue. Beyond that, well, I'm not sure. I have been a nonmember of the NFB or the ACB for almost 20 years now. I can count on less then one hand how many times in the mainstream media that I have come across either organization's name or doings. Society is larger then the blindness fish bowl. Ari, Thanks, I didn't know all this! Saving this message for future references! Cait On May 3, 2014, at 7:20 PM, Gmail englishride...@gmail.com wrote: Kaitlyn, this message comes up because most Braille displays require a pin. You don't have to worry about this with your display, however, because the Brailliant line of displays do not require a pin. There should be an okay or confirm button or something like that on the iPhone screen. Either that or you just have to press space and the enter key, also known as dot 8. I can't quite remember which thing you have to do at the moment, look for something on the iPhone screen, or press space with enter on the display. If you don't already know, there's a sequence to turning on the display and iPhone if you want to use the phone without the display for a while. First, lock your iPhone, and then turn off the display, and then unlock your iPhone. You can also turn off Bluetooth at this time to conserve battery power. When you want the display to reconnect with your phone automatically, lock your screen, turn the display on, and then unlock your phone. The display should pay automatically with your phone then. If you turn on Bluetooth thing this time, remember to turn it back on, lock your screen, and then follow the procedure for reconnecting automatically. Hi Andrew, I choose video mode in talking goggles. This is right on the home screen after you open the app. After that, I make sure the flash is enabled. This is on the home screen as well. Re: How do you play ear monsters and audiorun?
Hi, with Ear Monsers, you just touch on the screen where you hear the monster pop out. For example, if you hear the monster on your right, touch the right side of the screen. You have to have vo turned off, fyi. And, of course, use head phones. You probably have to build another level onto your castle, another floor to add more space. If you look under the upgrades tab, you’ll find an option for that. Hi Kay, I like voice dream reader for this. If you use voice dream, you can download book share books from the app itself by linking book share to the app. some people like read 2 go, but that app is just for use with book share. voice dream works with more then just bookshare, which is why I prefer it myself. hth, Caitlyn On Dec 20, 2013, at 1:01 PM, Kay Malmquist kay.malmqu...@gmail.com wrote: Okay, here is the dense question of the month.
