Re: deleting a book from device in Audible

2018-09-21 Thread 'Marshall Scott' via VIPhone

I had a similar problem deleting an book from within the Audible app on an
iPod. After you get the Delete this item showing up in the app, you double tap
it. This action moves you down to the book title. You then have to move back
up to the Delete this book and click again to actually delete the book.
I hope this makes sense!

Is there any chance the puzzle might be referring to Mons Olympus? Its the

Re: Calls missing from recent calls list

2017-07-19 Thread Marshall Scott
Hi,
I’ve seen something similar. I have my land line forwarded to my iPhone and I
have selected several contacts set as favorites. I then turn on Do Not Disturb
which prevents the iPhone from ringing for every Tom, Dick and Harry
telemarketer from interrupting me. Anyway, a few weeks ago,, I had exactly the
same thing happen. No idea why.
Sorry for the long post!!

Re: Blocking unwanted calls on the iPhone

2016-12-21 Thread Marshall Scott
Hi,
I use the Do Not Disturb feature to stop the phone from ringing then I use the
Favorites Feature to allow the 7 people I want to talk to allow them to ring
the phone. The problem with this solution is that all notification sounds are
also disabled.

Hi,
You can do this by turning on Do Not Disturb. TYhe only problem with this

Hi, Anna,
I've never had to reboot my phone before. How does one do this? Also, When I
said muting, I meant that sound was being turned off completely and the phone

I guess it's possible that apple has reduced its accessibility efforts in

Re: apple tv 4th generation thoughts

2015-11-29 Thread Marshall Scott
I think there are two major reasons for the recent problems with accessibility
at Apple. The first is that Apple now has to develop and support software and
hardware for four product lines. These lines are OS X, iOS for iDevices, the
apple Watch and finally Apple TV. Apple also has to support older devices like
the iPhone 4S. The differences between these products may be slight but they
have to be tested.
The second issue is that Apple has decided on a 12 month release schedule. As
a former programmer, I feel like this is too short a development cycle to
really fix bugs in software
Just my opinion.
