Changing audio feeds with the NFL mobile app.

2013-09-09 Thread Daniel Miller
Hello,

I know there’s already a thread about using the NFL mobile app with audio pass,
but I furred starting a new one about how to change the audio feed with the app
would be helpful.
I know people have said that there’s no way to do so, but alas, there is.
Once you’ve got a feed playing, there will be some controls that have oddly
labeled buttons. Due to these buttons being unlabeled, you have to just tap
something, but the feed will change.
I’m sorry if this isn’t very helpful, but they need to definitely make some
accessibility changes.

Re: Changing audio feeds with the NFL mobile app.

2013-09-09 Thread Christopher Chaltain

Did you actually get the feed to change?

I could double tap on the unlabeled button below where it said select
the feed. I then went back to the top of the screen, and I could double
tap the button next to the words home or away. this would change the
message saying the feed was either the home feed or the away feed, but
the actual feed didn't change. In other words, during the Cowboys versus
Giants game, I could get the dialog to say the feed was either the home
feed or the away feed, but the actual feed I was still listening to was
always the Cowboys feed. I even turned off VoiceOver and gave it to my
sighted wife, who was able to change the feed from home to away, but
again, the actual feed was always the Dallas feed.

It's true there are some unlabeled buttons, but I don't think this is
actually an accessibility issue. It's pretty clear which buttons you
need to double tap, and the dialog does get updated. I actually think
the issue is with the server, and the feed doesn't actually get switched
over, even though the client thinks it has. As I said in an earlier
post, I've opened up a ticket with Audio Pass, but I haven't gotten a
response yet.

Re: Changing audio feeds with the NFL mobile app.

2013-09-09 Thread Chris Chaffin

You are correct, you are able to change the source of your audio feed, but
the actual feed stays the same.
I first thought this might be because some feeds might be blocked because of
where I was located, but no matter what game I listened too, I was always
connected to the home team feed.

I have also reported it, so hopefully they are looking into it and will have
a fix for it soon!

So, just for all of us that is having trouble with this, could you tell us

I would love to know that I was just not doing something correctly.

Any help with how to accomplish this would be appreciated.
