Not that it applies in any way to the US lottery, but here in New Zealand, the
Lottery Commission now, after years of frustration for blind suckers, have a
top class buying site.
I used to think that a sizeable proportion of the Lotto funds went to the
government, but that is not true and once I found that every available cent
goes to supporting over 3,000 worthy causes: every time, and that is most of
them, that I lose another 25$, I think that a fraction of each and every one is

I assume the fact that he is asking friends or family to buy for him means he
doesn’t like to or is not able to go out himself? There are a lot of places
where you can buy a lottery ticket, here in Canada at most drug stores,
7-Eleven stores etc.

Hello list,

So not for me, but rather a friend who is visually impaired. He’s tired of
asking friends/family to buy him a lottery ticket and being told that it’s out
of their way or they don’t’ have time etc. I don’t really play so have never
looked into anything like this, so I told him I’d ask in case anyone plays
lotto and how they buy their tickets.

I think I’ve heard of online lotto ticket buying services in the past, but
again, never paid it much mind.

Does anyone on here play? This is for California. I don’t know if he plays the
state lotto or just powerball or whatever, but I guess to be on the safe side,
something that covers the national and California super lotto games.
Trustworthy, accessible and on the level and all that.

If so, what service do you use? I think he’s got an iPhone so if there’s an iOS
app that can accomplish the same it would be good to know as well.

Thanks,

RE: Accessible and on the level service for buying lottery tickets online?

2019-10-10 Thread Cristobal Muñoz
So going down a rabbit-hole now, I downloaded the California lottery iOS app.
It seems accessible enough. You can check out all the games state-wide and
nationally and their results, but there doesn't appear to be any means to
actually buy a ticket or play any of the games.

Poking around online, there actually appear to be all sorts of sites and
services to purchase lottery tickets from all kinds of games. There are even
sites dedicated to ranking the best and most trustworthy companies to play
with. I mean really, who knew...

I'll pass along this info to him, but again, as I originally asked, if there's
anyone who has played or used any of these online services in an accessible
manner, it would be good to know as well.

Here in Canada you can buy any of the lottery tickets online (Lottomax, 6-49
etc.) at the website PlayNow <https://www.playnow.com/> .

What I don’t know is whether this website is available in the US and offers you
lottery tickets from US and local lotteries there.

Interesting question. I think this may be difficult to find. When we order
from our local grocery store using Instacart, we aren't allowed to request that
they bring lottery tickets as part of the order. I'm not sure why, but there
you go. You would think it should be possible for a third party to do this,
but I am not aware of a way.

Subject: RE: Accessible and on the level service for buying lottery tickets
online?

I assume the fact that he is asking friends or family to buy for him means he
doesn’t like to or is not able to go out himself? There are a lot of places
where you can buy a lottery ticket, here in Canada at most drug stores,
7-Eleven stores etc.

Subject: Accessible and on the level service for buying lottery tickets online?

Thanks,
