I too would absolutely love a smaller iPad. I have wanted one ever since I got
my iPad first generation. I feel it's a bit too big sometimes and heavy. I
think a seven inch screen would cater more to folks who love their e-books.
The iPad can be cumbersome to read a long book.

Hey Ricardo, you know I agree with most of what you have said but I don't
really think the availability of iPhones off contract in the US makes all that
much difference to the iPod touch. We An $800 device isn't going to steal sales

Hi,
I use to think what would be the point as well. But, I'm starting to think
that a 7 inch iPad would eventually turn into an iPod touch killer. IMO, The
iPod touch has pretty much run its course. Its pretty much the alternative for
those who don't want to buy an iPhone and be a slave to a

It is what will probably compete with the Nexus 7 and the new Kindle that
rumors say Amazon may be releasing later this year.
Maybe ten years from now tablet and smart phone sizes will be like TV's
where you can buy anything you can imagine.

If Apple's going to come out with a smaller iPad or a larger iPhone, I'd
suspect it would be to go after the part of the market filled by the
larger smart phones from Samsung and HTC and even the Galaxy Note.

Honestly I don't really get the point of a 7 inch iPad. Obviously they are
going to target the mid range community there and probably make it somewhere
around 2 to $300 so people who can't or don't need to pay ful price dont need o.
This relates to the other topic about why people need an
Hi,
I just want to point out that this is still a rumor and, no one truly knows if
such an animal as a 7 inch iPad exists.

For those who really don't need a full-size iPad or the retinal screen, I
have read that a 7" iPad is to be launched in the fall. This may be a
solution for those who feel that the full-size 10" iPad has too much real
estate to navigate on. I am waiting to see what the specs will be and how
