RE: AirPods question

2021-11-16 Thread Simon A Fogarty
I could be wrong,

But I don't think you can,

I thought by default the pods had the phone as default device,

But with the airpods everything is synched to each device via the apple id used
on the phone,

But I think if you paired the airpods to your mac computer
They are still going to use the same apple id to pair with your phone
And as phones pick up phone calls,
However in saying that,

Airpods are meant to switch automatically to the device you are using so if you
have the pods in and start using your mac computer then you should hear your
mac,

But good luck with that as I haven't had it working for me with IOS 15
But under that theory if you answered your call on the mac
Then your pods should be what you hear it through.

Good luck with your search

RE: AirPods question?

2021-09-06 Thread Debbie Downey
I have the same issue; well, maybe not exactly but I notice that the left
Airpod dies before the right one. I also have the 2nd generation. I will check
and see if there may be some dust in the charging port.

Thanks!

Subject: AirPods question?

Hello,

I have some Apple AirPods here and have noticed something strange.

The left AirPod is listed as having 18% charge while the right has 63% charge.

I can appreciate the charge level between the two may be different, but this
amount of difference between the two I find rather strange.

They are second generation AirPods and while not in use are kept in their
charging case.

Any thoughts welcome.

Do you use the left more than the right? Sometimes depending on what I'm

If it were just a matter of comfort I’d by them in a heartbeat. For my ears the
Apple Earpods and also the Airpods which are exactly the same fit great, they
are comfortable, don’t block out much external sound and I really have to try
hard to make them fall out.

RE: Airpods Question

2018-01-04 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
That is one of the reasons why I still won’t buy them, yes, there is a bit more
flexibility now, but unless they figure out how I can get the full set of
options I have with the wired in-line remote I won’t spend that much money.
I want Play/Pause and Answer/Hang up, I want to be able to bring up SIRI,
forward/skip and rewind/previous as well as volume control.

You can set the response to a double-tapp on each AirPod separately. You do
this in the Bluetooth settings. Go into the "more info" button next to the
AirPods and you'll find the settings to change what double-tapping on each
AirPod does. You could then set it up so that double-tapping on the left AirPod
goes back a song and double-tapping on the right one moves forward. Taking an
AirPod out of your ear will pause playback.

Personally, I have my left AirPod set to pause when double-tapped and the right
set to skip to the next song. If I want to use Siri, I'll use the home button
on my iPHONE. If I knew I'd be using Siri a lot and didn't want to reach for my
phone every time, I'd set one of the AirPods to summon Siri when double-tapped.
You don't have as much control on AirPods as you do with other headset options
but there's certainly enough for my needs. The portability and battery life
afforded by the case easily compensates me for the very minor inconvenience
having to use my iPHONE's volume buttons or Bluetooth keyboard to do what the
remote on the older EarPods could achieve.

Re: Airpods Question

2018-01-04 Thread Michael Feir
You can set the response to a double-tapp on each AirPod separately. You do
this in the Bluetooth settings. Go into the "more info" button next to the
AirPods and you'll find the settings to change what double-tapping on each
AirPod does. You could then set it up so that double-tapping on the left
AirPod goes back a song and double-tapping on the right one moves forward.
Taking an AirPod out of your ear will pause playback.

Re: Airpods Question

2018-01-04 Thread Woody Anna Dresner
Hi Anthony,

You can configure your airpods to activate Siri, play-pause, or previous track
or next track. I have my left one configured for previous track and the right
one configured for next track. I use Overcast for podcasts and have it
configured to interpret these commands as back 15 seconds and forward 15
seconds. Audible also uses the commands this way.

To configure your airpods, go to Bluetooth, find your airpods, and double-tap
the More Info button following their name.

HTH,
Anna

You have to use the iPhone itself.

I believe you have to configure this.
A quick Google search for “Forward and rewind with Airpods” gave me this
support article from Apple<https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT207010> about how
to get the most out of your Airpods.
