RE: Blood pressure monitors question?

Hi:

I use Qardio as well and love it, it is simple to use and the app is very
accessible. I tried the Withings but did not like it.

Thanks

I am not familiar if the model from Independent Living is fully automated, but
the Qardio is, it has batteries and all you have to do is put it on, then sit
back and relax and with your other hand tap the start button in the app. It
will then inflate and do everything automatically. You can even set it to do 3
measurements and it will then take the average.

Hello friends.

I apologise if this topic has been discussed but I have a particular reason for
asking advice.

If you will allow me to explain.

I was recently admitted into hospital where I was diagnosed with
Pyelonephritis, and sepsis. During my stay in hospital I was also found to
have an atrial fibrillation. They are not sure whether the heart issue was
caused by the sepsis and I have to undergo further tests.

My Apple Watch can help me check my heart rate, but what options are there for
a totally blind person to check blood pressure.

I would appreciate your recommendations and thank you in advance for them.

Thank you for reading my post too.

Hi,
One thing I want to mention with this Qardio Arm is you have to put it on the
correct way. The way I tell which way it goes on is I have the battery door
face my sholder or having it face up. Another words it has to be put on so the
battery door faces away from your elbow. If you don't put it on correcty you
will get inaccurate reading. In reading the reviews on Amazon I am thinking
most people are not putting the Qardio are on correctly. Also some said the
battery does not last. Well I am thinking they do not know you have to roll up
the Qardio Arm when you are done to shut if off. Another words I am thinking
most people are not reading the directions and following the directons.

RE: Blood pressure monitors question?

2020-03-11 Thread Mr. Ed
Hi Teresa,
As for the Qardio Arm it was very easy to pair to my iPhone and use. I have
been using it for three to five years I think. I have three other friends that
use it and they have had no issues. I have a tech support number for Qardio and
they have always been great at helping with any questions. Here is the number I
have. 855- 240- 7323 (8a-4p PT M-F)

Hi Mr. Ed.
I too would like to find a good blood pressure monitor, if it has an
app all the better.
I got the scale from Qardio and had a heck of a time getting it to
work correctly although a few people said they found it accessible.
I got my son-in-law over to help me with it a couple of times and he
is totally a geek and couldn't get it all the way figured out.
So I'm a little hesitant to get another product from Qardio.
What was your experience like?
What was it like to get it set up and connected to your phone?
Teresa☺

Yes, it has a very large Velcro surface and can definitely be adjusted as tight

Of course the entire unit is all part of the cuff so it may seem bulky.

Thank you for reading my post too.

the one we use is qardio arm--note the spelling of qardio without the 'u'. It
tells systolic and dyastolic blood pressure, pulse, and informs you if your
heartbeat is not regular. It works with the iPhone, and you can export the
results list to an email address--your own or your doctors or whoever should
see it.

Hi Mr. Ed.
I too would like to find a good blood pressure monitor, if it has an app all
the better.
I got the scale from Qardio and had a heck of a time getting it to work
correctly although a few people said they found it accessible.
I got my son-in-law over to help me with it a couple of times and he is totally
a geek and couldn't get it all the way figured out.
So I'm a little hesitant to get another product from Qardio.
What was your experience like?
What was it like to get it set up and connected to your phone?

Hi It would be nice if people could give links to get these instead of just
names does any one know of any talking blood pressure ones that don't rely on a
app? Not that I don't mind relying on a app and stuff but when they update it
they might brake the app when it comes to accessibillidey. From Mich.

the one we use is qardio arm--note the spelling of qardio without the
'u'. It tells systolic and dyastolic blood pressure, pulse, and
informs you if your heartbeat is not regular. It works with the
iPhone, and you can export the results list to an email address--your
own or your doctors or whoever should see it.

RE: Blood pressure monitors question?

2020-03-08 Thread Mr. Ed
Hi,
I like the wireless Qardio blood pressure cuff that you can purchase on Amazon
and use your iPhone to read the pressure. It also saves all your blood pressure
reading and you can email them to your doctor.

Subject: Blood pressure monitors question?

Re: Blood pressure monitors question?

2020-03-08 Thread MamaPeach
They have talking blood pressure monitors. I have one and it works great. I
would advise against the wrist kind, they are not very accurate. The ones
that you put on your upper arm, like the ones doctors use, are a lot more
accurate. I am pretty sure that places like LS, Maxi Aids and Independent
Living Aids sell talking blood pressure monitors.
