RE: Cannot connect Airpods or Airpods Pro

2020-11-05 Thread Simon A Fogarty
You don’t need a new phone and or pods,

I’d give it a break for a while and come back to it in an hour or so,

Try turning off Bluetooth on the phone and then back on again then try
reconnecting,

And I do recommend trying to connect them to the iPad rather than the iphone
and see what happens that way.

Good luck,

And find the neighbours cat, or a cushon from the couch

Yeah LOL.
So now they’re not asking me to push the button, I must have finally held it

But I’ll try anything so perhaps I can purchase a cat? Our dog would enjoy that
a lot.
Maybe I should buy a new phone.

Ok, try something different,

Put them down,
Put your phone down,

And go get a big glass of wine and relax for a while watching the sun rise or
fall depending on where in the world you are.

Then in an hour try pairing them with your ipad in stead of your phone.

If that doesn’t work,

Hi Deb,

I would be surprised if your pods are still connected with your iPad

You need to take note of the prompts on the screen when trying to pair the pods
and things will work.

Remember that when you try to pair you need to have the pods in the case and
the case lid open I hold the case over my phone and press the little button on
the back until the phone prompts you that the pods are paired / connected,

If you don’t hold the button down the pairing wont work.

And with the pods,
If your iPad and iPhone are using the same apple id,
The pods can be paired on one device and therefore pair with all devices that
use that apple id,

So if you have removed the pods from one device it will be gone from all your
devices.

So get rid of the didn’t work message and try it again.

No on the back of the case that the pods pro come in,
that’s the wireless charging case,

if you flick the lid of the case open,
approx. half a centimeter below the lid on the back panel, you should be able

The little things on the pods are not what you are looking for.

Interesting,

I think you have found the hinge of the case lid,

There should be a small round button quarter of an inch down from that and in
the very middle of the cases back panel.

Try pressing down on different areas of the back panel and see what you find or
feel.

Try using your fingers and feeling rather than trying to see it,

Your fingers can be more sensitive than eyes.

Yeah I’m looking on the case. There’s a little strip so close to the lid it’s
hard to find it, but I think that must be what you press. Nothing happens.

But part of the problem is that it says “not your airpods pro” even though I
forgot the device in settings and reset them with the lid closed. Online

present I can’t forget them again. They don’t show up in the Bluetooth list at

Interesting,

I think you have found the hinge of the case lid,

There should be a small round button quarter of an inch down from that and in
the very middle of the cases back panel.

Try pressing down on different areas of the back panel and see what you find or

Try using your fingers and feeling rather than trying to see it,

Subject: Cannot connect Airpods or Airpods Pro

I have both Airpods and Airpods Pro.
The other day I was using my Airpods Pro and they suddenly disconnected. I
could not get them to reconnect.
So following various online advice, I told the phone to forget this device, and
I restarted the phone.
I then discovered that my original Airpods also don’t connect. I can connect
them both to my old Ipad running iOS 12 so it’s probably not the pods.
But when I try to reconnect them the phone says they’re not my airpods. Things
I read online says this is because they haven’t been forgotten. But they don’t
appear so no way to forget them again.
I try pressing the button on the back of the Airpods to no avail. I can’t
figure out what to press on the Pros because I never had to do that in the
first place.
My phone is an 8+ so I know it’s older, but things were all fine.
All of my other Bluetooth devices that are not the airpods of either kind are
connected and working fine.
Why not the airpods?
I tried to call Apple aCcessiblity and waited on the phone more than two hours
before giving up.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

I know there’s a button like that on the standard airpods but I don’t see one
on the case for the pros.

Just a long strip.

Hi Deb,

No on the back of the case that the pods pro come in,

that’s the wireless charging case,

if you flick the lid of the case open,

approx. half a centimeter below the lid on the back panel, you should be able
to feel a button that is very slight but if you pres you will feel it.

The little things on the pods are not what you are looking for.

And no you shouldn’t have to reset your network settings,

Just forget the pods and then start again to pair them.

Good luck.

2020-11-05 Thread Deb Cook Lewis
Yeah I’m looking on the case. There’s a little strip so close to the lid it’s
hard to find it, but I think that must be what you press. Nothing happens.

But part of the problem is that it says “not your airpods pro” even though I
forgot the device in settings and reset them with the lid closed. Online
support says they’re not forgotten if you see this message, but if they’re not
present I can’t forget them again. They don’t show up in the Bluetooth list at
all.

Cannot connect Airpods or Airpods Pro

2020-11-05 Thread Deb Cook Lewis
I have both Airpods and Airpods Pro.

The other day I was using my Airpods Pro and they suddenly disconnected. I
could not get them to reconnect.

So following various online advice, I told the phone to forget this device,
and I restarted the phone.

I then discovered that my original Airpods also don't connect. I can connect
them both to my old Ipad running iOS 12 so it's probably not the pods.

But when I try to reconnect them the phone says they're not my airpods.
Things I read online says this is because they haven't been forgotten. But
they don't appear so no way to forget them again.

I try pressing the button on the back of the Airpods to no avail. I can't
figure out what to press on the Pros because I never had to do that in the
first place.

My phone is an 8+ so I know it's older, but things were all fine.

All of my other Bluetooth devices that are not the airpods of either kind
are connected and working fine.

Why not the airpods?

I tried to call Apple aCcessiblity and waited on the phone more than two
hours before giving up.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Deb
