Simon,
IN VoiceOver settings, it goes up by 10.
ON the rotor, it goes up by 5.
You can force it I guess with the long press in settings, but it is just easier
to have it on the rotor.

Hello everyone,

I was wondering, is it possible to change the speaking rate of the voiceover
voice, to increments of 5?

Right now, I have the Alex voice set to 60. But that's a bit too slow for me.

However, 70 is just a bit too fast. So I would like to set it at 65, if at all
possible. But I wasn't sure how to do this. I tried, but it only seems to move
in 10's.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you,

Terri

RE: Changing speaking rate of voiceover voice

2020-12-08 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
That is definitely the best way, but if you don't want to add speaking rate to
the rotor, you can do it in settings, but you have to double tap and hold on
the volume slider and then drag left or right, you can then set it to 63 or 67
or whatever, but it's a very finnicky process, you need a steady hand and the
amount you have to drag your finger left or right is minute, this might be a
case where a stylus could be useful.

Yes, add Speech rate to the rotor if it isn't there.
Turn the rotor to speaking rate and flick up or down and it moves by 5.

Changing speaking rate of voiceover voice

2020-12-08 Thread Terri Stimmel

Hello everyone,

I was wondering, is it possible to change the speaking rate of the
voiceover voice, to increments of 5?

Right now, I have the Alex voice set to 60. But that's a bit too slow
for me.

However, 70 is just a bit too fast. So I would like to set it at 65, if
at all possible. But I wasn't sure how to do this. I tried, but it only
seems to move in 10's.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you,

Terri
