Hello,

SeeingAssistant-Home Lite it is free version of application
SeeingAssistant-Home, Lite in this case means simpler version of
application SeeingAssistant-Home. Standalone application
SeeingAssistant-Light is only for detection of light, in this case light
means luminosity.

 Dear all,

We are pleased to announce that the application SeeingAssistant-Light is
now available on AppStore. It is a separate part of the application
SeeingAssistant-Home functionality operates as a single application.

SeeingAssistant-Light allows blind people to detect the light sources.
During operation, the application generates a characteristic, continuous
 sound.

The tone of that sound depends on light intensity – the more intense
 light, the higher the tone.

User can locate the light source by turning camera when the sound has the
highest pitch – camera then points to the brightest point.

Sound can be turned on and off by triple-tap on VoiceOver mode.

Re: Detection of the light sources - new iPhone app

2013-08-27 Thread Andy Baracco
I am not clear. If you already have Seeing Assistant, do you need to download
this also?

Subject: Detection of the light sources - new iPhone app
Dear all,

We are pleased to announce that the application SeeingAssistant-Light is now
available on AppStore. It is a separate part of the application
SeeingAssistant-Home functionality operates as a single application.

SeeingAssistant-Light allows blind people to detect the light sources. During
operation, the application generates a characteristic, continuous sound.
The tone of that sound depends on light intensity – the more intense light, the
higher the tone.
User can locate the light source by turning camera when the sound has the
highest pitch – camera then points to the brightest point.
Sound can be turned on and off by triple-tap on VoiceOver mode.
User can not only check whether light in the room is turned on, but also
whether some electronic device with display is turned on, or even whether LEDs
on electrical device is turned on or off.

Best wishes,
SeeingAssistant Team

RE: Detection of the light sources - new iPhone app

2013-08-27 Thread E. Wayne Brumley
I looked at Seeing Assistant online and was a little unclear about it also.
Is it a crowd sourced app such as Tap Tap See?

If the light source app uses only IPhone resources is it a standalone. If
it is part of Seeing Assistant would it be subject to the 40 command per day
limitation?

Regards,

Wayne
