It has been. At some point, Apple will probably eliminate the lightening
connector and some years after that such 'phones will likely become less
easy to locate.

... I’m also hoping. I also like Bluetooth, but I seem to misplace
them. In fact, I’m on the hunt for a Bluetooth earpiece I took off during
a phone call last week and I still cannot find where I set it! Ergh!
...

I think you are really speaking of earbuds, that is small in-ear
transducers (fancy word for device which turns electricity into sound, or
vice versa), Bluetooth external "cans" (headphones with large cushions
outside the ear) are also pretty common (less common, these days, are
external units which convert traditional 3.5 mm (or 1/2") to bluetooth). If
you often find losing earbuds is an issue, you might consider something
like TrelabZ2

Re: Do we know what earphones SE takes?

2020-04-21 Thread Joshua Hendrickson
Its the build quality for sure. Between the connectors is kind of a
rope material or a braided cable if you will. Also, the connectors
are made of metal, the jack portion of the adapter and of course the
lignting connector. Like I said before, they are a bit pricey, but I
feel as long as I don't lose them, they will last me for years to
come. Just wanted to give the info. I've bought ugreen products
before like an external SD card reader and am very happy with it.

That surprised me that Apple only charges $9 for their adapter.
I have an old one with my work iPhone that seems to be chugging right along.
What makes these other ones so much better?
I this
will consider them for my new SE when it arrives.
I'd just like a little more info about what makes them better.
Thanks,

Apple also sells its lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter for $9 at the
Apple Store. I don't know how its quality compares with what you described but
it works well for me.

I found a very nice high quality lightning to 3.5 MM adapter for the iPhone
from amazon. These adapters are a little pricey about $16 a piece, but they
are very well made and worth the money. If anyone is interested, I can post a

Are you talking about the one that is $16.99 that’s at the top of the adapter
results? The reviews look good, apart from the one star reviews, but other such
products had more one star reviews than this one. Are you personally using the
one you are talking about? Thanks.

I found a very nice high quality lightning to 3.5 MM adapter for the iPhone
from amazon. These adapters are a little pricey about $16 a piece, but they
are very well made and worth the money. If anyone is interested, I can post a
link to them if you wish.
