I use an app called Textshot Pro. It lets me name groups, and put I think lets
me put up to 50 members in a group. My largest group though is around 17. I'm
not sure though how it comes across to other phones.

Hello. We ran into a similar issue when creating a group
text/messaging format in my department at work, which has about 11
members. We settled on the Microsoft Teams app, which is free. We can
message each other regardless of the platform, there does not seem to
be a limit on the number of members
