Hi Sieghard Yeah right I understand your statements. But as ios16 00 01 02 and 03 were fairly stable releases one did not expect ios16.1 coming up with new and earlier unknonw major bugs. Re: Having dictation problems with IOS 16.1.
Dictation seems to be going back and forth. When I first posted about this out here when the release candidate first came out, dictation was really bad. But then it cleared up later that week and was working much better prior to 16.1 hitting everyone's phone. And now it's back to not working so well. Definitely frustrating. You should complain to Apple. A few thoughts on this topic. 1. Are you dictating with earphones? If not, if VoiceOver reads what you said, it could be entered twice. 2. Remember, most, if not all, dictation is now done directly on your phone, no internet servers, which to me also means, far less power to get things right. 3. speaking slower than normal seems to greatly improve accuracy. I too have seen the problem where the dictated text is written twice.
