Guys,
I did manage to pull off the phone to phone transfer from an iPhone 7 running
iOS 14X to an iPhone 13 running 15X and all seems to be going just fine.
Thanks for all the help.
Best,
Kevin

Kelly,
Please post a support article explaining your comment: "the extra iCloud

the iPhone Quick Start phone to phone transfer process and
Hi Simon,
Well, when I was setting up my new iPhone 13 Mini running iOS 15 and attempted
a phone to phone transfer from my SE 2020 running iOS 15.02, the transfer
failed four times until I set up the 13 Mini as a new device and upgraded it to
a later version of iOS than was running on the SE.
Allan,

So long as both phones have IOS versions later than 11
Then the wireless transferr will work between the devices,

It should not matter if the IOS Versions are different
The transfer can actually intergrate the update of the IOS version on the new
Possibly. But if he wants the extra iCloud temporary storage to hold
all the data on his phone in iCloud, he needs iOS 15.

Kelly,
I don't think both iPhones must be running iOS 15 in order to do a wireless
phone to phone transfer. The source iPhone must be running a version of iOS
that supports this transfer and it must not be running a newer version of iOS
than the target iPhone. Other than that, I don't believe
You are missing the wireless iPhone to iPhone transfer. I had 100 gigs
transfer in less than an hour. Both phones need to be running iOS 15
so if the iPhone 7 is not currently running 15, you will need to
upgrade. At the end of the process, you will need to enter in your
Apple ID and password and

Use either a sim tool which should be in the paper work for your new phone or a
paper clip to push out the sim tray of each device.
Note the sim card is small, so do the removal over a table or surface you can
find the sim on
At what point should I remove the SIMM card from my iPhone 7. Can it be
placed in my iPhone 13? do I need something else?

when you say, make sure your stuff is backed up, I assume I'm good because
my stuff is both in the cloud and on my Mac mini. so, if the Mac mini is
not involved because I chose to do the phone to phone wireless transfer, I
should have the Mac mini and the Time Machine for the Mac Mini as
Hi Kevin, I've always done an iCloud transfer. And it's not hard to do. Just
make sure that all your stuff is backed up, meaning photos contacts etc. etc.,
then whenever you perform the steps that somebody posted from Allan, skipping
the iTunes part would definitely be the easier way. You will
Here is a good explanation of the Wireless transfer option now with iOS.

Guys,
I just got a new iPhone 13 in the mail. I have an iPhone 7. Historically, I
always moved all my stuff from one iPhone to another, (iPhone 6 to iPhone 7
most recently,) by connecting a cable from my ancient Mac mini 2010 and doing a
hard transfer through iTunes. This would take
