If Predictive Text does say the word I am trying to type, do I double tap or
press Return for the word to be finished?

I’m afraid I did that and it’s not helping. I put predictive in the search for
settings looked at all of them, turn them all off, didn’t help. What next?

I turned mine off. It's quicker to pick my own word and type it most of the
time.

I’m using my iDevices with a blue tooth keyboard. As the previous poster said
they just keep typing until it says the word. In my case, if it completes the
word, I press the space bar so I can type the next word and continue letting
the predictive text do its thing.

Predictive text is off on my 4S with iOS9.2, though Ilike the feature
where above the keyboard as you type, you see the possible predictions
iOS launches; definitely saved me from having to write long EMails etc!
