Re: A power pack that may interest some iPhone users.

2019-09-24 Thread Malcolm Parfitt
I have a small Anker 7500 MAH battery that fits easily into a jacket pocket I
bought when i had an iPhone 5S.

The iPhone XR obviously has a higher capacity battery and therefore takes more
power to charge.

Don’t understand why Apple shipped the iPhone 10 series with their 5 Wat
chargers when they can accept a higher rate of input.

RE: A power pack that may interest some iPhone users.

2019-09-24 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
The Anker powerbank I have also has 2 charging ports and can be fast charged
with an appropriate wall plug.
Not sure what you mean by “pocket friendly”, but size and weight all depend on
the capacity, I have a very small, round Anker battery, it only has 3,000 MAH,
but it’s super small and portable and great if I just need to charge up my
phone once when I’m out. My big Anker battery can charge both my phone and my
wife’s at least 4 times if we run the phones all the way down to 20% before we
charge.

I agree with you the Anker is an excellent product but not pocket friendly! I
particularly like the fact that it has two charging input ports and when used
with the correct charger vastly reduces is charging time.

Re: A power pack that may interest some iPhone users.

2019-09-24 Thread Malcolm Parfitt
Hello,

The price is: $59.95 USD

If you hold the power pack in portrait mode with the smooth LED facing you and
at the top.

On the top right corner you will feel a raised section. Follow this round in a
clockwise direction and you will feel a small groove you can prize this up with
a finger nail. You will then have a ribbon cable hinged at the left side of
the device. This contains the lightning charging cable. In the groove that
held the cable are three ports used to charge the unit. From left to right
these are: Micro USB, Lightning and USB C.

The top left side contains a button you press once to turn the device on and
twice to turn off.

If you rotate the device 180 degrees vertically again on the top corner you
have a similar arrangement that pulls out the Micro USB charging cable.
Beneath this is a USB A port with a 2.4 Amp output.

Now on the top left side you will find an oval shaped socket. If you take the
Micro USB cable and double it back on itself you can insert the plug into this
resets. When you pull it out again it should be attached to a Micro USB to USB
C adaptor. You can detach this adaptor and reinsert it so as it does not get
lost.

If you want to charge wirelessly put the device on a flat surface with the
display facing up. Place your iPhone flat on the power pack and press the
power button. Charging should now start.

Hope this may help some of you.

Thanks, doesn’t look like Amazon sells this. Pretty pricy and big/heavy for
10,000 MAH, but I guess that might be because of the built-in wireless charging.
While the idea of a built-in cable and built-in wireless charging it nice, I
like my big 26,000 MAH Anker, when I travel I often want to charge my phone and
use it at the same time so I just bring my 6 foot cable, so does my wife and we

How much is this power pack? I'm interested. How do you charge your phone and
braille display on it? I have USB cords. But, if it has wireless it? Wayne

Re: A power pack that may interest some iPhone users.

2019-09-24 Thread Malcolm Parfitt
Hello,

The power pack has two ribbon cables one at the top the other on the bottom.

These are Lightning and Micro USB respectively. They provide a current of 1
Amp.

When you pull up the ribbon cable at the bottom of the device in the groove
where the ribbon cable was housed is a standard USB A port. You can use a
standard cable to have a 2.4 Amp supply.
Take a look

Subject: A power pack that may interest some iPhone users.

I recently came across a power pack that may interest some list members.

Firstly it has a LED display that can be read by Envision AI and Seeing AI. So
this off-the-shelf power pack is usable for us.
